Metal-Era Inc., Waukesha, Wis., announced that it is now stamping all ANSI/SPRI ES-1 tested fascia and coping systems with the words “ES-1 Tested.” Metal-Era’s wide range of perimeter edge metal systems are engineered to meet the strict performance standards required by the ANSI/SPRI ES-1 Wind Design Standard for Edge Systems Used with Low-Slope Roofing Systems.
The International Building Code, which has been adopted nationwide, requires ANSI/SPRI ES-1 compliance. Embossing tested systems with this information provides architects, roof consultants, roofing contractors, owners and code officials with an easy method of identifying roof edge systems that are IBC compliant.
See Metal-Era’s website for the specific design pressures that each product has been tested to. To learn what design pressure your specific building requires, use Metal-Era’s online Wind Design Calculator.
The embossing of “ES-1 Tested” on all relevant products is effective immediately.
