Allied Building Products Corp. announced that solar products will be featured in its new state-of-the-art Contractor Tool Center located in Northern New Jersey. It is the first retail facility of its kind in the Northeast to feature solar products used regularly by solar contractors. Solar products will have a dedicated area within Allied’s Contractor Tool Center. As one of the nation’s leading distributors of building products, Allied established the facility to provide additional service and convenience to its core contractor customer base.
The 7,000-square-foot facility includes power tools, roofing products, flashings, sealants, fasteners, safety equipment and other products regularly used by contractors. The solar products area includes solar panel displays, string inverters, combiner boxes, Quickmount PV products, solar fasteners and other accessories.
On May 12, Allied Building Products hosted Grand Opening celebration at the new facility located at 250 Route 17 North in East Rutherford, N.J., inviting customer’s to tour the Contractor Tool Center and participate in several prize drawings. The all-day event will begin at 12:00 pm EST with lunch and a vendor expo featuring over 25 vendors on-site to answer product and market questions. Later in the day, East Rutherford Mayor James L. Cassella joined the team for a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by pig roast dinner. In addition to the full day celebration, the branch also served lunch again on May 14 for those unable to attend the May 12 event.
