Christian Taber, a senior applications engineer with the Big Ass Fan Co., has been recognized as one of the top 40 engineers in the country under the age of 40. The award, given annually by Consulting Specifying Engineer magazine, acknowledges outstanding professional, academic and personal achievement. Taber joined the Big Ass Fan Co. in 2007 after seven years with Trane. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Iowa State University of Science and Technology, and he is currently pursuing his doctorate in biosystems engineering from the University of Kentucky.
During his tenure at Big Ass Fans, Taber has impacted the tremendous company growth with a comprehensive understanding of thermal comfort in the built environment. Among his biggest achievements was his instrumental role in the certification of our company’s Research & Development lab to LEED Gold standards through the United States Green Building Council.
