Vicwest Building Products, a division of Vicwest Inc., and All Weather Insulated Panels jointly announced that their newly operational insulated metal panel manufacturing facility near Little Rock, Ark., will begin production in late October 2012.
All Weather and Vicwest are two producers of insulated metal panels (IMP) for industrial, commercial and cold storage applications. The two companies combined their IMP operations in 2010 and the addition of this new 80,000 square foot facility to the existing manufacturing operations in Vacaville, Calif., and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, brings the combined production capabilities to approximately 30,000,000 square feet annually. All three facilities feature identical PUMA SpA production lines, a leader in the design and manufacture of urethane continuous line equipment.
The combination of the three strategically located facilities greatly enhances the IMP Group’s ability to deliver effectively to customers in the cold storage and industrial/commercial markets throughout North America. The current IMP product line now includes seven wall panel and five roof panel types to fit almost any cladding requirement. All plants stock a complete line of related accessories and maintain dedicated trim shops to ensure coordinated delivery of all required parts to support efficient installation schedules for our customers. Other services include design calculations, shop/erection drawings, material bills and certified installer training.
“Getting the Little Rock facility into production is an important step in solidifying our geographic coverage and expanding our market presence in all major segments of the construction industry throughout North America” said Bill Lowery, president of All Weather. “This third operation caps an exciting evolution for us. In just 22 months, we have gone from two separate companies operating independently with different products to a single entity with a single focus that rivals other major players in the market.”
“The opening of the Little Rock plant will give us better access to strategic customer service opportunities that were previously unreachable with just two plants” added Paul Lobb, president of Vicwest. “This state-of-the-art facility and its dedicated technical team makes us a truly North American-wide operation and confirms our on-going commitment to producing the highest quality insulated panels In the market.”
